Exhaustion

I seriously apologize for my absence! I don't know what has come over me, but I am now completely exhausted...ALL THE TIME! It started last week, and hasn't gone away yet. I don't know what to blame...maybe I'm anemic (hope not), or maybe it's the blah weather we've been having lately...all clouds, no sun. I wake up in the mornings more tired than I did when I went to bed. I yearn for a mid-day nap, and often leave Cam on his own to accomplish this.
So here I am, apologizing to you, and hoping that I find the cure for this affliction sometime soon!

Monday, Monday

I feel a little lost. I have nothing to do for My Life Monday! I guess I'll just have to find something else to talk about.
Today was a weird day. All weekend I've been working on making tile pictures. (Two for a family reunion, and one for a friend's birthday.) Anyway, I figured that I should get them going, since I have to have them done by the end of the month. So yesterday I painted the two for the family reunion and then I took them home to cut and glue the pieces on. (I've had my friend's done for a while...)
Steve had to work last night, so I thought I'd stay awake until he got home. I worked and worked and finally, after hours of work, they were finished (well, without the resin on them anyway!) As I was sitting on my comfy couch looking at my progress, I noticed that one looked too orange. So I grabbed some white paint that I just happened to have and added some white squares to it. It really helped it...so then I added some more color to the other picture...it was kinda blah! Anyway, around midnight I got it looking the way I wanted and was satisfied. Then a little while later my husband came home from work. We stayed up for a while watching Iron Chef America and just talking about what we'd done since last seeing each other. Then I decided that I should go to bed, and I did. I read some of the Ensign and then turned off the light and ATTEMPTED to sleep.
I don't know what it is about the lights being out, but it's a signal to my hubby that he should start tickling me. I wasn't going to put up with it, so I fought back. We ended up having a huge tickle war, completely messing up the bed, losing some hair, and catching our breath for a while. Anyway, to make a long story short, he decided to retaliate against my superior tickle skills by getting his cologne. Once I started getting his ticklish spots he started spraying me with the cologne...good plan, right?? WRONG!! We have several fans blowing the air around in our room and the fan blew the spray directly into my eyes and in my mouth. I was miserable. I flushed out my eye to stop the stinging, but it still hurt a little. PLUS, I couldn't even lick my own lips without having the taste of cologne in my mouth...YUCK! Anyway, that was the END of our tickle war...it was 2:30 in the morning!
So after that LONG night, I had to get Cam ready for school at 7:30!! I didn't get NEARLY enough sleep! As soon as I left the bed my husband, who happened to have today off, rolled to my side of the bed and grabbed my pillows and went back to sleep. I wanted to punch the guy!! SO NOT FAIR!! After I got him off to school I had to get ready for our Pioneer Primary activity. I wish they hadn't made it for 10 am....yucko time! But I went and as the kids were shaking jars of cream into butter we would sing fun pioneer songs. The kids had a blast!
Then I went home and we had planned to see a huge flag display and take some pictures. Unfortunately, they started taking the flags down today....SAD! So we turned around and went to my mom's house.
As soon as we got there I was wiped out, and Cam was beginning to show his whiney, cranky side, so I determined it was naptime! We napped for a couple of hours, and then I got up to help make dinner! Then I FINALLY went online for the day (I'm so proud!) And I found that NO ONE commented on my last post! HOW SAD for me! (No, don't feel guitly and go back and comment....it's fine...I understand...not all of them can be exciting!!)
Then as I was typing up this post Cam rushed past me to the bathroom and I hear a high pitched whine coming from the bathroom. I'd heard the same whine yesterday in church when he thought that the primary presidency had forgotten that he was the prayer....another fun story.... Anyway,I hurried in the bathroom to see what was wrong. He held out his fingers to me...he'd accidentally pooped his pants. He was devastated. Poor kid. I cleaned him up, and sent him on his way. He kept whining over and over that he didn't want to poop his pants anymore, and I kept reassuring him that it was an accident and that it was okay. I hope he's not traumatized now because of it!
Now, I have a whining husband who wants to go home, watch a movie and probably start ANOTHER tickle fight....I've got the water ready, just in case!

Bored Out of My Mind

I can't believe how bored I am right now! After our fun family outing, we've just been boring homebodies. With my husband's graveyard shifts it just kinda happens that way, but what's my excuse?? I could go out and do things, but I guess I'm too much of a follower! I have to have someone with me or I feel out of place. Today I thought we were all set for another evening of boredom at home, when just as Cam went to bed and Steve was getting ready for work I got a call from one of my friends. She's been calling us on and off for a few weeks inviting us to go to her house for a get together/hot dog barbecue. Last week I told her that we could go and then I promptly forgot all about it. She called me tonight and I immediately asked her if it was tonight, she told me it was and I got depressed even further. Man, I'm such a ditz! I forget things ALL of the time! I apologized to her and then I went upstairs to tell Steve what we had forgotten. I asked him if he knew what was going on tonight and he said, "The barbecue?" I was shocked...he remembered?? And he didn't tell me!! What's wrong with this picture? He told me that he remembered at 7:15 and figured that she didn't really want us there if she didn't call to remind us. I love the guy, but geez!! He's supposed to help his spazzo wife remember stuff! IT'S HIS OTHER JOB!! Oh, well. I just hope that I can remember the next big activity without forgetting. *duh*
On top of my forgetfulness I got another call from my friend L. She called during dinner, and we don't answer the phone during that time...normally. Anyway, we waited and waited for her message, but she never left one. I really hope that she isn't mad at me. Like I mentioned before...I forget things...often times forgetting to call people back! I guess I'm just the dork of the night tonight.
***********
Now for my primary plans for tomorrow.
The schedule is the same as last week, even the singing time songs. But now that I've finished with my extra class, I'm back to doing what I do best...Junior Primary! YAY!! I wasn't very good with the Senior primary...I got them to sing, but not enjoying it like I think they should. For singing time last week I don't think that they taught the new song, Dearest Children, God is Near You, to the young ones, so I think I'll be doing that. And then review...review....REVIEW of the Fathers' Day songs: Daddy's Homecoming and The Dearest Names. We'll sing the songs and then play "Stop and Go." I made a really cute stop and go sign that I stuck on a stir stick for painting and I've left in the primary closet. When the stop sign is facing the kids they have to stop singing the words, and when the go sign is facing them they have to pick up where the music is. Hopefully the kids will forget that they're singing the same song over and over and over and have fun. That's what makes singing time fun for everyone!

Runaway

I feel like my brain disconnected sometime last night and left my mouth on auto-pilot! I don't know what it is about change that just kills my brain DEAD!! D-E-D....DEAD!! All during church today I would just let my mouth run and run and run. I know people were looking at me like I was insane (which, admittedly, I was!) and I think they were just thinking, "Okay. Sister _____ is just blabbing...try to ignore her...it'll stop soon....I hope!" In our ward in the last 2 weeks my simple world has been tossed completely upside-down! We got a whole NEW primary presidency, and then this week they released my partner in the chorister department and gave me a temporary AMAZINGLY talented college girl to be my new partner. As I was trying to tell her what my usual things are (my quirks, scheduling, things I've just learned...) my mouth just ran and ran and ran. Then while teaching the new song for the month, I let my mouth run and run and run while the older boys mocked me and got obnoxious. Oh, well. Day's over...for now...maybe my brain will find a way to reconnect to my mouth while I sleep! *fingers crossed*

Post Vacation Blahs

I can't believe the post-vacation hang-over I'm experiencing! I have been so tired in the mornings that I don't know what my alarm is....I litterally cannot understand why that machine is making that noise and why it won't shut up! I've been so worn out that I ended up going to bed last night at 8:00!! I NEVER get to bed that early! My husband was a bit exasperated with my early bedtime, but he survived it! I feel a little better now that I got more sleep, but I still feel worn down and tired! I'll get through it.
Okay, so since I couldn't post ALL the pictures that we had taken on our trip I will try to post a few for a while until you all tell me that you're sick of hearing about what we did!
Now I have the pic of the deer in their backyard. The first night that we were there was the only night that the deer were there to eat. I think they could sense that there were other people there who weren't there normally. This barn is also kinda special! Everyone around knows their farm by the star on it. They light it up every Christmas and it's the only thing that you can see for a long ways! They were telling us that people come up to them and tell them that they're the people with the star. They keep it up all year though, because it would be too hard for them to take down!

These pictures were taken in Robison Park (which isn't very far from the farm.) I wanted to get a picture of my boys peeking at me through the trees, but Cam just started laughing. I LOVE how these turned out! They're so cute!
