The Day After

I'm now our ward's Visiting Teaching leader. It's actually QUITE a huge job for me. What it entails is turning in the monthly visiting teaching reports from all of the Visiting Teaching supervisors and helping with the routes and interviews, then I also help out with the annual Visiting Teaching conference (which is in September....why it couldn't have been a few months ago is my new question....)
I'm so nervous about it. It's kind of funny because this is the same calling my mom has in HER ward, so I know what to expect....and she tells me that it's hard. :P Oh, well, I guess I can handle it!
My problem that I have to overcome is my hatred of talking on the phone! (Yes, I can hear you giggling about it now...) I also need to gain a testimony of Visiting Teaching...yes, it's going to be a BIG job, but I can do it.....I hope! :)

Oh my goodness! Someone understands my phobia of phones! I hate calling people too. I try and grab my VT people at church as well. Talking to friends on the phone is hard. I can only talk to family without getting the knot in my stomach. Phew! Atleast I know I am not the only one now. I am sure you will do great at your calling even with this small detail. Don't worry about the conference. The enrichment board and the RS presidency really does put most of it together. Atleast, we/they have in the past.

I am laughing...HYSTERICALLY! HA HA HA! As someone who has no problem with calling others...I suppose the Lord has something special in mind for you. My equally dreaded calling would be Primary song leader!

ENJOY!

I think you will do a great job with your new calling. Don't fret about it too much, if they didn't think you could do it well they probably wouldn't have given it to you. I still share your phone phobias, even though I've worked in plenty of jobs where I should have gotten over it.
