Cameron: the Artist

My son is an artist! He has SO much talent. Especially with this beautiful blue Sharpie!
Now to get him to color his masterpieces on paper instead of the walls, doors, and bathroom counters!
(Just in case you were wondering why I've not rung the little monkey's neck....Mr. Clean Magic Erasers work MIRACLES! OH! And he's been grounded from ANY fun toys for a LONG time!)

You have much more patience than me. I probably would have killed him.

Mr. Clean Erasers work on Sharpies? Oh heaven bless that man... Although if at this point my kids revert back to coloring on the walls they will be killed regardless, lol

Oh dear. My son did this when we first moved into the house with at water soluble marker. It turned out not to be washable after all. We still have yellow stains in the carpet (it was a green marker) I worry what guests must think. :)

His next trick was to experiment with different surfaces. He colored on the carpet, woodwork, wood floor, tile, wall, doors, etc with a black crayon. I'd swear he was Dash from the Incredibles based on how fast he moved. Good thing for Goo-be-gone!

Oh, and alcohol wipes are good for getting out permanent marker on non-porous surfaces (don't try them on fabric -they just make the ink bleed worse)

I was going to say, I hope you have plenty of Magic Erasers!

When Ems tries stuff like that, she gets to clean it up. Now she picks up a pen, goes toward the wall or door, and I hear her saying, "Not on a door! (or wall) Just on a paper!" Then she comes and asks for paper. Which I give her. :)

How did we live before Magic Erasers?!? I can't think of how many times I've used them to take writing off the wall. The thing is that my 3-year old doesn't even have access to writing things and somehow it still happens. I also didn't realize that they'd work on Sharpies. It's just a matter of time...

I just love the shade of that blue! It goes so well with your decor!

The last time Jasmine did something like this, it was with pen, on a tablecloth (which got ruined). I think she's learned her lesson. Now I just have to worry about Tyler!

Thank goodness for Mr. Clean!

Yikes! So glad the Magic Eraser worked. You just got to be careful, because they take the finish off lots off stuff. I think they basically just SAND the stain off, like a piece of sandpaper. How else could such a magic thing work?

This is precisely why markers and crayons are controlled substances at our house. You don't get to play with them unless Mommy knows you have them (and has gotten them out for you!).
