Smelly

I'm dying from smell overdose!!
Today I walked into the church building and was hit in the face with the smell of sweaty bodies, BO, and bad breath!! Sitting through my meetings about did me in!
And when I was outside, it was a little muggy, but the smell is what got to me. I was smelling some pretty STINKY flowers! (And there aren't any flowers by my door....at ALL!) Pyew!!
Is there something you can do about overwhelming smells?! :)

Not outdoors... but what about body spray? Or inside the refreshners. I have 3 plugged in my classroom, cause teens can STINK! LOL. Umm.. at church... I carry a fresh fabric sheet in my bag. Maybe you could put it in the program & song book so you smell a sweet smell. And tell them to turn teh air on/up-- so peopel won't be sweating in church. Or open a window for fresh air in the class you're in?

They keep our church building so hot that I makes everything stank worse than it should. And heaven forbid you crack a window... the old folks will freak out!

I would have left church if it was that bad, eww. I wish I had a solution for you. I remember my sniffer being so sensitive when I was pregnant, I am glad I don't deal with that much anymore.

P.S. Your new profile photo is so cute!

I recommend carrying a big ole spray bottle of Oust with you where ever you go. That or gas masks. Your choice.

I get overwhelming sensitivity to smells when I'm pregnant. I think the only thing that worked was fresh air.

This reminds me of a lady in our Pocatello ward who would always spray her air freshener around her seat before Sunday School or Relief Society. That was bad, cuz some people were allergic to the stuff. (She actually huffed when someone called her rude for spraying it!)

ANYway, I liked Froggy's idea of a fresh fabric sheet. If it got too bad for you to handle inside the church, I'd just step out for a bit. Good luck.

Our church building DOES stink. The poor thing is so old, it just doesn't stand a chance with all those sweaty bodies, dirty diapers, and such. I hate the primary room being right next to the mens bathroom. Sometimes I gag when I walk out of the room.
